Frank Barna

Frank Barna, age 87, of Sun City, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023. He was born on July 18, 1935, to the late George and Rose (Milacek) Barna in Omaha, NE. Frank met Dorothy (Dottie) E. Shelden when they were 16.  She was his prom date and they married July 18, 1953. July 9th the following year, they had Michael Frank and August 25, 1955, Cheryl Suzanne arrived. Mike married Carmela Dunn and Cheri married Michael Patterson and gave them 7 grandchildren - Jeremy Dean Patterson, Angela Deanna Davis, Christopher Michael Barna, Jason Frank Barna, James Alan Barna, Dillon Michael Barna and Brandon William Barna. 3 great granddaughters, Taylor Davis, Kiersten Hostetler and Rileigh Barna; 2 Great Grandsons Payson and Theodore Barna were a welcome addition. Sun City, Arizona became their home in 1985. They worked until retirement in 2000 then began traveling in a Pleasure- Way until they bought a Dolphin motor home in 2007. Traveling the United States, Mexico and Canada was the best, according to them. Frank’s Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank Barna’s honor may be made to Liberty Home Care Assisted Living LLC, 10509 W. Louis Dr. Peoria, Arizona 85383.
