Michael Anthony Tovar was laid to rest on Saturday May 07, 2022. Gone but never forgotten.
Mike was raised by Francisco Cantu Tovar (father) of San Juan, Texas who served in the United States Army, and Gloria Cortez (mother) of Ed Couch, Texas, a loving mother and schoolteacher.
Mike was a beloved and devoted husband, loving brother and dedicated father to his children. He worked hard to serve his community with honor and passion through the Human Rights Commission and in Law Enforcement for 27 years. Mike was a man of humility. He rarely asked for anything but always gave his all to anyone - that was his way.
Many know Mike as a sports fan, as he cheered on the Seahawks each season. Mike also found great joy in his brief retirement getting back to playing baseball and watching MLB Spring Training in action. It was something he enjoyed to the core, whether with his wife, friends, family, or getting to know other fans around him.
Michael Anthony Tovar leaves behind his wife Colleen Tovar, his three children; Mike Tovar, Kris Tovar and Bri Tovar, granddaughter Maya Tovar, and his two surviving brothers; Lupe Tovar and Andy Tovar.
