Teresa Goolenia (Roubian) Margosian

Teresa Goolenia Margosian (nee Roubian), ascended into heaven on July 14, 2022.  She was 96 years of age.  Predeceased by her husband Robert, sister Ruth, and brother Charles, she leaves her two children, Kirk (wife Catherine) and Robin (husband Michael); grandchildren Ethan (wife Lindsay) and Trevor Carr; Gabriel Margosian, as well as two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Madalynn.  She also leaves nieces and nephews Gary Bedrosian, Zabelle Margosian, Lisa Silverman, Carol Jackson and Charles and David Boyajian.  Born in Boston and raised in Brighton, Massachusetts, she was the devoted wife of Robert for 64 golden years.  The door has closed on a historical legacy. Teresa--daughter of Panos and Goolenia Roubian-- was a second-generation survivor of the Armenian Genocide (1914-1917): the first attempted extermination of an entire race and culture.  Teresa’s work ethic flourished.  Prized for her secretarial skills, Teresa was employed for many years with Manpower, Inc.  Never one to turn down assignments, her flexibility from industrial to general business applications always valued; her skills would augment her engaging personality.  Teresa’s joie de vivre could light a room.  Never one to stand on ceremony, her infectious laugh and smile was endearing; her optimism matched only by her empathy.  “This too shall pass,” was her refrain.  She was a friend to all who knew her and will be missed by many.  A devout Christian, her reprise of gospel hymns prevailed until the last stanza rose to heaven as God called her home.  A service will be held at St. Apkar Armenian Apostolic Church, 8849 East Cholla Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85260 on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Noon. Donations in Teresa’s honor may be made to St. Apkar Armenian Apostolic Church at the above address.
