Annette Mary Joyce, born March 3, 1939, in Appleton WI, went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2023.
Annette grew up in Appleton, WI and moved to Detroit, MI for the start of her freshman year. She made fast friends at Saint Francis Desales High School and was voted homecoming queen in her senior year. She also met Frank, her high school sweetheart and love of her life. They were married on June 21, 1958, and celebrated 65 years together.
Together they had three children, nine grandchildren and two, soon to be three, great grandchildren. Michael (Pamela) Joyce: Thomas (Caitlin), Steven, Kenneth, and Jeffrey Joyce. James (Beth), Joyce: Justin (Taylor), and Jonathan (Alexandra). Diane (Larry) Longenecker: Kyle (Ivette), Paul (Haley) and David Longenecker. Great grandsons: Liam Joyce and Jackson Joyce.
Forever loved by so many, including her sister Janice Margaret Schwab, Shelby Township, Michigan, as well as many adoring nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Early on, Annette worked as a bookkeeper for a manufacturing company, and continued to use those skills as the long-time secretary for her kid's swim club and as the lifelong manager of the household. Her Catholic Faith was a priority. Along with her husband Frank, they were actively involved in the many parishes they attended. This included, engaging high school students with discussions of Christian principles, as part of the St Paschal Baylon Catholic Church's youth group. Her many hobbies included sewing, bridge, golf, and Bocce Ball... particularly with friends and non-stop conversation! Most important to her were her children and their families spread across the US, the regular phone conversations, visits, and particularly the long stays at the lake house. She was happiest when her entire family gathered for the reunions at Disney World, the Outer Banks and most recently, the Lake House.
Welcoming her to heaven are her parents, Marvin and Eunice Schwab, parents' in-law Kathleen and James Joyce, sister Judith Ann Sayed, brother David Joseph Schwab and grandson Kenneth Joyce.
