Arthur Babbitt Obituary
On Sunday, June 26, 2022, Arthur Alexander Babbitt loving husband and father passed away at age 93. He was born on October 8, 1928, to the late John Forrest and Lessie Myrna (Snyder) Babbitt in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant. Arthur graduated from Salem College in Salem, West Virginia. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He helped open the Kelly-Springfield plant in Freeport, Illinois, working there until his retirement. Arthur was a 33rd degree Mason. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Melba; brothers, Carson, Raymond, and Earl Babbitt; daughter, Jane Babbitt-Armstrong and her husband, Jack D. Armstrong. Survivors include his son, Mark Babbitt of Scottsdale, brother, Charlie Babbitt of Ohio, and grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Armstrong of Massachusetts. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd, Sun City West, AZ 85375.
