Barbara Brandt Obituary
Barbara Gail Brandt was born Barabara Gail Pileggi, June 24th, 1939, in Bridgeport, CT.
Barbara graduated high school from the TUS in Bridgeport, CT, in 1957 and attended St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1960 as an RN. Barbara served in the U.S. Airforce between 1967-1969 and the U.S. Army Reserves from 1990-1992. Barbara worked at multiple nursing homes in both Connecticut and Arizona.
During her lifetime Barbara enjoyed both bowling and singing.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Peter Pileggi, mother, Rosemary Pileggi, her husband Dr. Frans M.J. Brandt, and brother-in-law, John Costa. She is survived by her sisters, Patti Pileggi, Jacquelyn Costa, her son Peter, daughter-in-law, Ruth Taylor, grandchildren, Christian, Zachary and Faith Brandt, and multiple cousins.
Memorial services were held at St. Clare of Assisi Church in Surprise, AZ. Barbara’s burial will take place at a later date at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield, CT.
