Claudia V. Zombek

On Friday April 12th 2024, Claudia Zombek, loving wife and mother, gained her angel wings at the age of 73.

Born June 21st, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Catherine (Critzer) Catellane (both deceased). She married Donald Brian Zombek October 11th 1986. They shared a wonderful life together and raised Claudias two daughters (previous marriage), Tracie Tarpey (Gregory) and Karye Rockensuess.

Claudia is survived by her Husband and daughters as well as her grandchildren, Brent Tarpey, Jillian Tarpey, Nicholas McCallister and Rosario Lewis. She is also survived by her siblings, Catherine Plain, James Catellane (Mary) MaryJo Chambe (Russel) and Diane Catellane. Several cousins and nieces and nephews. 

Claudia had a passion for singing and enjoyed performing with the Shoreline Sound in Michigan, the Scottsdale Chorus and then Westwind Harmony Chorus in Sun City West, AZ. The Sweet Adelines brought Claudia great joy traveling and performing in cities around the country and winning first place in the 2010 Seattle International competition. 

Her other passion was her family. She played a vital role in raising her grandchildren and helped to shape them into the wonderful young adults they are today. She also loved spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She had many wonderful times playing games and cards. Claudia never missed out on the party!

She was well known for her kindness and loving nature. She always made an impact wherever she went and when meeting new people.
