David Allen Beebe, 71 of Peoria, Arizona passed away surrounded by loved ones on April
3, 2024.
Dave, the oldest of four boys, was born on March 2, 1953, in Humboldt, Iowa to Gary and
Joann Beebe. He was raised in Humboldt and graduated in 1971 from Humboldt High School
where he participated in basketball and baseball. After high school, he went on to community
college to study Air Traffic Control where he ultimately decided it wasn’t for him. He then went
to work for his father at Beebe Plumbing and Heating, Hawkeye Harvester, and Schwan’s as a
delivery truck driver. In August of 1984, Dave moved his family to Arizona where he got a job at
Culligan Water. After a few years he went to work for Pima Plumbing where he started to think
about starting his own plumbing company. In 1989, in the garage of his home, him and his
brother Dennis started Beebe Plumbing Inc. and for 30+ years they created a successful
business that employed numerous people including many family members and friends. He met
success by getting to know people, doing deals with a handshake (or a beer), and being great
with numbers.
In addition to his business, Dave enjoyed fishing, golfing, and the occasional trip to a tropical
island or anywhere there was sun. He built a cabin in Black Duck, Minnesota on the lake that
his parents had taken their family for many years. He participated in fishing tournaments where
he won first place. He loved to be on the water.
Dave is survived by his partner, Melissa West; his daughters Jody (Brad) Kramer, Tami (Bryan)
Summers; his 3 grandchildren Brandon (Sydney) Kramer, Emmery and Dylan Fischer; his 1
great-grandchild Ellie Kramer; his mother Joann Beebe; his brothers Dan Beebe, and Dennis
(Tamara) Beebe. He was preceded in death by his father Gary and brother Dean.
