76 years old passed away peacefully on Saturday October 21, 2023, at his home in Sun City West Arizona. Greg is survived by his wife of 53 years Suzanne (Sue) (Pemberton) Dziegielewski and his sister-in-law Margaret (Midge) Heshley (Jeff). He also leaves behind his niece Meredith Schmersal (Jeff) and their children Mason and Sydney, and nephew Steven Heshley (Emily).
Greg was predeceased by his father, mother, and brother.
Greg was a graduate of the University of Toledo Engineering School and the University of Toledo School of Law. Greg spent much of his working career as the Director of Patent Law for BorgWarner at Auburn Hills Michigan. He previously worked in the Patent law department for Owens Corning Inc for 13 years. Greg also worked at Owens Illinois as a mechanical engineer upon graduation from University of Toledo.
Greg was a passionate Detroit Red Wings and Ohio State University Buckeye fan. Greg was a wonderful golfer who willingly helped anyone who desired it. He was a lifelong race car enthusiast.
Greg did not treat a person differently based on their life’s work; he only saw the person. It was a gift he shared with all. Greg was a thoughtful man who offered his thoughts and suggestions freely with the intent to assist a person to make their own decisions and allow that person to develop independence and confidence in their life. Greg had the ability to make a person feel important. He could welcome you in and share with you freely no matter how many years may have passed since he was last with that person. He would make you feel as if you were just continuing a conversation from yesterday.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Lisa Brown and Mark Macey for the love, support and care they both have provided to Greg and Sue over the past three years, without their assistance the road traveled during this period would have been more difficult for Greg and Sue.
Greg’s funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am November 3rd at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 17111 W. Bell Rd. Surprise Arizona 85374.
Condolences can be offered on Camino Del Sol Funeral Home website www.caminodelsol.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be submitted to the Alzheimer’s Association and Mountain View Hospice in Greg’s name.
