Lewis (Lew) Lowy

On Sunday, January 16, 2022, Lewis Lowy (Lew), loving father of two children, Danny and Joshua Lowy & daughter-in-law Yvonne Lowy, brother to John Lowy & sister-in-law Barbara Lowy, grandfather to two granddaughters Julianne and Jacqueline Lowy, partner to significant other Kathy Crotty, and a friend to so many who loved him dearly, passed away at the age of 80.

Lew was born on September 29, 1941 in Newark, NJ, to Bernard and Mayfair Lowy. He was married to Helaine Baskin; they raised two biological sons and a stepson, Matthew Adelman, (Helaine’s son by a former marriage). Lew was successful at many professions in his life. He was an Insurance Broker for 17 years, he was an entrepreneur who had a Slot Machine Business in NYC, Co-Owned an Employment Agency in NYC and had a self-employed Courier Business for over 25 years. He served in the U.S. Army both in the United States and in Germany (Army Intelligence).

Lew had a passion for baseball and playing softball, managing teams and pitching for decades. His favorite hobby was playing the horses and working hard at perfecting his formula to win. He was known for his quick wit and humor, his infectious smile. his kind and compassionate spirit, his willingness to help those in need and one who always made the best of a bad situation... he loved life.
Honoring Lew’s wishes, there will be no Services or Celebration of Life... only cremation.
