Randall "Randy" Dean Vietor

Randall “Randy” Dean Vietor, age 67, of Surprise, Arizona, formerly of Aplington, Iowa,
was born the son of Arnold and Lorene (Diekman) Vietor. He graduated from Aplington
High School in 1973.
Randy was united in marriage with Dixie (Eltjes) Vietor on August 7, 1981, at the Little
Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple made their home in Aplington with their two
sons, Jeremy and Travis, for 30 years before moving to Surprise, Arizona.
Randy was an active member of Aplington Baptist Church for many years, as well as
serving the community on the Aplington Ambulance Crew and Reserve Police Officer in
Aplington and Ackley. He also worked as a Security Guard at John Deere and Walmart
the majority of his life.
Randy went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2022 while in the hospital. He is preceded in
death by his parents.
Randy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dixie of Surprise, Arizona, two sons, Jeremy
(Stephanie) of Talladega, Alabama and Travis (Atalia) of Waddell, Arizona, two
granddaughters, Madison and Gabriella of Hampton, Iowa and one grandson (Collin) on
the way.
A small family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
