On Friday, December 24, 2021, Renee L. Carleton, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at the age of 78 in Surprise, AZ. Born in Detroit, MI on September 2, 1943, Renee grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods, and lived in Warren, Lexington, and Sun City West, AZ over her lifetime. Renee was a school secretary at Peace Lutheran School and Church in Warren for nearly twenty years. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Lexington, MI and attended Spirit of Grace Lutheran Church in Surprise, AZ. She was active in the Lakeshore Garden Club and the Alter Society in her church in Lexington. Renee enjoyed crafting homemade greeting cards, traveling, and spending time with her cherished friends in Michigan and Arizona. She will be remembered as a generous person who loved to host gatherings and make everyone feel special. Her greatest joy was her time spent with her family. Family visits, often called Grandma Camp, were carefully planned to the smallest detail. Renee enjoyed making memories with her family traveling together to relax on a beach, take in a show, explore a city, and see new sites.
Renee is survived by her husband, Ed of Sun City West; her daughter, Anne (Kevin) Coughlin; and her granddaughters, Kathryn and Elizabeth Coughlin all of Bath Township, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Charles Rousseau; and her brothers, Peter and Thomas Rousseau.
