Robert “Bob” Branton, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the age of 76. He was born on May 18, 1946, to the late Margaret and Richard Branton of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2003, he married Blanche Barney in Laughlin, NV. They relocated to Arizona in 2004. Bob retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant after 30 years of service where he worked in Intelligence. His service spanned Korea, the Vietnam Conflict and the Persian Gulf War. He also taught ROTC in California and Arizona. He was beloved by his students and colleagues alike. Bob was a longtime sports enthusiast (especially of the Philadelphia Phillie’s and the Philadelphia Eagles).
Bob is survived by his spouse of 19 years, Blanche, who lovingly cared for him as he bravely faced complications from COPD and Congestive Heart Failure. He is also survived by his 3 stepchildren (Aaron, Joel and David), 4 grandchildren, his aunts Mary Sallimo and Jeannie DiSipio, countless cousins, as well as many cherished friends
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 84024.
