Ronald Kibby was born on August 9, 1938, at Homer Phillips hospital in St. Louis, Missouri to Nora Sykes and Charles Kibby. He departed this life and received his wings on March 8, 2024, while at the Haven Adult Assisted Living Home in Surprise, Arizona.
During his life, he labored as an inspector for National Vendor for thirty years from whence he retired. He was a Jazz lover and was lead singer of a local band during his early years. He gave his life to Christ at a young age and often referred to Jesus as “his big brother”. Ronald was a dear friend, well known for his humble kindness, a devoted father (“Pops” and “Poppi”), and mentor to many.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father along with second mom, Mother Ora Kibby; two grandsons: Terry, and Bud Pete.
Ronald leaves to cherish and forever carry on his memory his beloved and beautiful wife, Josephine Kibby of sixty-four years of whom he lovingly called “Tiger”; four sons: William (Sylvia) Speed and Aaron (Carissa) Speed both of Sun City West, Arizona; Lawrence (Romitria) Kibby and Reginald (Barbara Jean) Kibby both of St. Louis, Missouri. One special daughter: Sheila Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri and one Goddaughter: Juanita Lashay Garrett of Arizona; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Charlie (Oscar) Johnson and Jarri Kibby-Williams; one brother: Gregory (Ricky) Kibby and one aunt: Doris Kibby. A brother-in-law: Eddie Lee (Virginia) Johnson, two sisters-in-law: Diane Purnell and Mary (Clarence) Barnett all of St. Louis, Missouri. He will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends: John (Janet) Diggs, Ernest (Ann) Walker, Marilyn Martin, and James (Christine) Billingsley all of Arizona. Ronald lived a long, happy, and prosperous life. He brought so much joy and will be loved throughout eternity.
