Shirley Mae (Moore) Washburn

08/18/1937 – 02/01/2024

Shirley Mae (Moore) Washburn, Age 86, of Sun City Grand, AZ beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed away Thursday night February 1st 2024 .Shirley grew up in Mountain Grove, MO.  She loved being in the Drum Corp and spending time with her many friends.  She married her high school sweetheart Clarence Washburn June 1st of 1955.  They relocated to Oswego, KS after Clarence started working for P&M Coal Company.  Clarence and her lived in many communities across the United States after that from Annapolis, MD Greenville, KY, Steamboat Springs, CO, Butler, MO, Paola, KS, Durango, CO and retiring to Surprise, AZ.  She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family as well as cross country skiing and snow mobiling.  She had a lustrous career as Secretary to Superintendant of schools in Steamboat Springs Colorado.  Contributions may be given to Hospice of the Valley or Shriner's

She is survived by husband Clarence Washburn, Daughter Pamela K. (Washburn) McKonly and Son in Law J. Baker McKonly, Grandchildren Annie McKonly Divine and Seth M McKonly, as well as many Nieces and Nephews.

She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Inspira of Arrowhead in Glendale, AZ.  She made differnces in a number of lives and is loved and missed by many!
