We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Camino Del Sol
Sooki J. Eaton went to her eternal home to be with our Lord on May 31st, 2022 at age 80. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Sooki was born on March 15, 1942 to Sung Ju Lee and June Kim from Seoul, Korea and Osaka, Japan. She grew up in Seoul, Korea where she met Ronald Mack (US Military) whom she married and relocated to the United States with. They were married for 15 years and resided in Washington D.C. and Virginia.
Sooki was a caring mother and talented seamstress who created beautiful clothes for her family. With this, her love for fashion came about and she found it as an outlet to express her creative soul. One of her marks she made on the world was her love for cosmetology, leading to her lengthy career as a Vidal Sassoon trained hair stylist and the co-owner of “Perfect Endings” Salon in Falls Church, VA. Sooki’s passion for her art led her to study abroad in places such as London, New York and Barcelona.
As an avid dancer, she took up ballroom dancing in the 1980’s where she met James C. Eaton whom she married. They resided in Silver Spring MD until 2011 when they relocated to Surprise AZ.
Sooki was a dedicated foodie! When she retired she was happy that she could devote more time to her love for cooking and experimenting with recipes. She loved baking healthy cookies for everyone, but never told anyone what her secret recipe ingredient was. She loved making people feel good and never failed to put a smile on their faces.
Everyone that knew her would agree that she was an incredibly generous, loving and kind individual very dedicated to the Lord. She was grateful for everything she had and felt blessed for the little things in life. She is survived by her husband James C. Eaton, her two children Cindy L. Pray and Chris R. Mack, four grandchildren and numerous cherished friends.
