Our beloved patriarch, dad, and grandfather, Thomas Arwyn Davies, age 95, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at his residence in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on January 10, 1927, to the late Thomas John and Bernice Mae (Blake) Davies in Elwood, Indiana. He attended Elwood High School graduating class of 1944 then went into the Navy to serve as an airplane mechanic during the later years of WWII. On March 13, 1949, he married Marlene Loer. Arwyn, as he was known to friends and family, or Tom was co-owner of an auto parts store for over 35 years. He was one of the founding members of Palm West Community Church in Sun City West, AZ, and a follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Tom is survived by his five children, Stephanie (Lynn) Funk, Dana Davies and wife Sandra, Karen Srebacic, Christie Davies, and Pamela Davies, as well as, grandchildren Karen Marie Srebacic-Sites and husband John, Stephen Srebacic, and Callie Davies Wallace and husband Alex; and four siblings, Martha Jane (Mart) Ashba, Marilyn Skinner, David (Muggs) Davies and Eldie Wentz. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marlene, sisters Margaret Benak, Kathrine Pethod, and Nancy Haynes.
Words cannot express the sadness that we feel but we do not grieve as those without hope because we know that we will see dad again in heaven… so with a kiss on the head we say goodnight dad until we see you again. We love you. Dad’s wish was to be cremated and placed alongside his wife in the columbarium at Palm West Community Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tom’s honor may be made to your favorite charity.
