William Joseph Kinney, Sr.

William Joseph Kinney, Sr. entered into eternal rest on April 27, 2023, at the age of 83. Bill was the son of the late Harold and Catharine Kinney of Cranford, NJ.  After graduating Cranford High School, Class of 58, he proudly served in US Army from 1963 - 1969 earning the Good Conduct Medal and Sharpshooter status. He was also a lifetime member of the Union County Bowling Association with over 25 years of service and acted as President during 1984 - 1985.

Bill lived a full life always surrounding himself with his family and friends. His generosity and humor will never be forgotten by those who were closest to him. If he could help those in need, he did. Bill remained an avid Dodgers fan from the young age of seven up until his passing and made sure to follow them from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, never missing a season. His friends and family will definitely feel a void with his passing.

Bill is survived by his wife, Margaret (Smehosky), and his children and their spouses: Jill (Eric) Dobrowansky, Debbie (Bryan) Shroyer, Denise (Chris) Hartzler, and his three grandsons, Stephen (Amy) Dobrowansky, Benjamin Stoever, and Ryan Hartzler. Bill’s children also includes Meg Fitzgerald, William Jr., Karyn, Kenny, Scott Kinney, and their families.
